360 Browser is a web browser developed by the Qihoo company of Beijing, China.  It offers page layout using either the Trident engine, as used in Internet Explorer, or the WebKit engine that was adapted for Google Chrome.  It was first released in September 2008. 360 Browser is based on the Chromium source code.

7 Star Browser is a free Chromium-based browser from Seven Star Studio (Beijing Kuaisou Technology Co Ltd). The main feature of this web browser is its support for dual processors, claiming to utilise the Blink (Chrome) and Trident (Internet Explorer) browser engines.

The Android Browser is a web browser developed by Google specifically for devices running the Android operating system. As one of the default browsers pre-installed on most Android devices, it serves as a primary gateway for users to access the internet, browse websites, and interact with online content. Designed to offer a seamless and intuitive browsing experience, the Android Browser incorporates a range of features aimed at enhancing performance, security, and usability.

AOL Desktop Browser v9AOL Desktop was an Internet suite produced by AOL which contained an integrated web browser. Prior to version 9.8, the browser was based on the Trident layout engine as used by Internet Explorer. From v9.8 onward, Trident was replaced with CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) to provide users with a more modern browsing experience. Despite AOL Desktop being discontinued in 2018, it is still encountered during investigations.

Apple Safari v3 - 17

Safari is a web browser developed by Apple Inc. and included with the macOS and iOS operating systems. NetAnalysis® supports Apple Safari on Windows and Apple macOS.

Avast Secure Browser (Desktop) v0 - 120

Avast Secure Browser (previously Avast SafeZone) is a Chromium based web browser developed by Avast. This particular browser focuses heavily around the matter of Internet security and privacy.

AVG Secure Browser v4 - 120

AVG Secure Browser is a Chromium based web browser with a built-in security and privacy centre. This browser includes a number privacy features such as; anti-fingerprinting, anti-tracking and stealth mode. Furthermore, it blocks websites, targeted advertisements, and other web services from tracking any online activity.

Basilisk is a Mozilla based browser created by the developers of the Pale Moon browser. It was initially released in November 2017 for Microsoft Windows and Linux. Basilisk uses the same user interface of Mozilla Firefox version 29–56.

Chromium Browser v1 - 123The Chromium browser is a fully functional open-source browser on its own and supplies the vast majority of code for the Google Chrome browser. The two browsers have always had some differences, as indicated by their names: chromium is the metal used to make chrome plating. The Chromium code is widely used by others to create their own browsers. Many vendors use the code in a similar manner as Google, while others simply build it as-is and release browsers with the Chromium name. The Chromium browser utilises a minimalist user interface, in comparison to Google Chrome, because Google wanted its browser to "feel lightweight (cognitively and physically) and fast".

It is also available in x86 versions. Cyberfox is also available for 64bit Linux.

Dissenter was launched in February 2019, and is an open source web browser built for The People, not advertisers. The Dissenter browser allows the user to block ads and trackers by default, ensuring that the web browsing experience is much faster than traditional web browsers.

Dolphin Browser v4 - 12Dolphin Browser is a Chromium-based web browser for Android and iOS developed by MoboTap. It was one of the first alternative browsers for the Android platform that introduced support for multi-touch gestures. In addition to gesture browsing, it also features tabbed browsing, Dolphin Sona (users can use their voice to search, share and navigate in Dolphin) and synchronisation data across multiple devices.

Epic Privacy Browser was released on August 29, 2013 and is developed by Hidden Reflex using the Chromium source code, developed for the security conscious. Epic Privacy Browser is (by default) always in "private browsing mode", taking a proactive approach to ensuring that session data (such as cookies, history, and cache etc) are removed upon exit. The browser also removes Google tracking and blocks other organisations from tracking users.
Flock v0 - 3Flock was a web browser that specialised in providing social networking and Web 2.0 facilities built into its user interface. Earlier versions of Flock used the Gecko HTML rendering engine by Mozilla. Version 2.6.2, released on January 27, 2011, was the last version based on Mozilla Firefox. Starting with version 3, Flock used the WebKit rendering engine. Flock was available as a free download, and supported Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and, at one time, Linux as well.

GNU IceCat, formerly known as GNU IceWeasel, is a free web browser distributed by the GNU Project. It is based on the Mozilla platform and is available for installation of GNU/Linux, Windows, macOS and Android.

IceCat includes additional security features such as the option to block third party zero-length image files resulting in third party cookies, also known as web bugs. The software also provides warnings for URL redirection and has functionality to set a different user agent string for different domains.

K-Meleon is an open-source web browser for the Microsoft Windows platform. Based on the same Gecko layout engine as Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey, K-Meleon's design goal is to provide a fast and reliable web browser while providing a highly customisable interface and using system resources efficiently.

Maxthon v4 - 7

Maxthon is a freeware web browser developed by the company Maxthon Ltd., based in Beijing, China. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. On July 7, 2012, Maxthon released Maxthon for Mac, with Maxthon for iPhone and iPad released in August 2012. On December 10, 2012, Maxthon Cloud Browser, also named Maxthon 4, was released.

The current iteration, Maxthon v6, is based on the Chromium source code and was released November 30, 2020.

Mi Browser v1 - 13

Mi Browser is a fast and secure full-featured web browser designed by Xiaomi for Android phones. Mi Browser features many security functions to ensure safe browsing; including, the option in incognito mode for users to switch on/off the aggregated data collection.

It offers top performance and an amazing user experience. Additionally, it allows the user to download images and videos directly from their social media accounts, and access to file management tools, including a private folder.

Microsoft Internet Explorer v3 - 11

Mint Browser is designed by Xiaomi for Android devices. Mint Browser blocks ads automatically in order to make web pages neater and cleaner, this also allows the user to save their mobile data. Additionally, whenever Mint Browser detects a downloadable video, the "Download" button will appear, allowing the user to save the video on your device.

Opera Neon is a new concept browser: "a vision of what browsers could become". It was first released in January 2017 and is available for Mac and Windows.  The browser is Chromium based but with some additional unique features. Opera Neon gives the user new ways to interact with web content, including the ability to drag, push and pop the tab icons.

When it was released, the Opera Desktop Team wrote a blog post Say hello to Opera Neon, our new concept browser outlining their vision for the future of desktop web browsers.

Opera (Presto) v3 - 12Opera was a web browser developed by Opera Software. Presto was the layout engine of the Opera web browser for a decade. It was released on 28 January 2003 in Opera 7 for Windows; Opera continued to use Presto until version 15, at which point the browser was rewritten containing the Blink layout engine.

Opera Touch is a Chromium-based browser designed to be used on the go. It has been designed so that the user can explore the web using just one hand. The Fast Action Button is always available on the user's browser screen and allows the user direct access to its Instant Search feature. The user can also swipe the button up to gain access to all recent tabs and browser navigation.

QQ Browser (QQ浏览器) is a chromium-based web browser for Android, Windows, Mac, and iOS platforms. It is developed by Chinese Internet giant Tencent. The application offers a number of features beyond those offered by built-in browsers, such as tabbed windows and integration with other chat platforms. QQ browser version 9.0 was the first released version which used the chromium source code (Chromium v43). Prior to this QQ Browser was based on the Trident engine.

SalamWeb is a Chromium-based browser, available for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, developed by the Dubai company Salam Web Technologies DMCC. The browser is designed to deliver a Muslim-friendly Web experience and ecosystem; SalamWeb uses SalamWebProtect which filters out ‘haram’ - content, products and services which are offensive to Muslims and considered by them to be harmful to children.

SalamWeb observes the Islamic law and tradition and is certified as a Muslim compliant web browser which also includes web apps and SalamToday, an online magazine with localized and international editions.

Samsung Internet v1 - 24Samsung Internet for Android is a Chromium-based mobile web browser for smartphones and tablets developed by Samsung Electronics. It comes pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy devices; replacing the stock Android browser as the default on Samsung Galaxy devices in 2012. Since 2015, it has been available for download from Google Play, and also on Samsung's Tizen-based smartwatch via the Samsung Galaxy Store.

Waterfox v4 - G5Waterfox is an open-source web browser based on Mozilla which is available for 64bit Windows, macOS and Linux systems. It has been designed to take advantage of 64bit system architecture and claims to provide speed improvements over Firefox.

Yandex v1 - 24Yandex Browser is a Chromium based web browser developed by the Russian web search corporation Yandex.  The browser checks web page security with the Yandex security system and checks downloaded files with Kaspersky anti-virus.  The browser also uses Opera Software's Turbo technology to speed web browsing on slow connections.  The browser's SmartBox uses Yandex Search as its default search engine.

Other Chromium Based Browsers

Chromium Based Browsers are based on the Chromium source code. Google Chrome is based on the open-source Chromium browser project. Anyone can take Chromium’s source code modify it to build their own browser. These browsers all build on the core browser and offer unique twists on Chrome.

Each alternative browser has its own focus, whether it’s security, social networking, privacy, additional features, or portability.

Other Mozilla Based BrowsersMozilla Based Browsers are based on the Mozilla Firefox source code. Mozilla Firefox is an open-source web browser, so anyone can take the source code and modify it. Various projects have taken Firefox and released their own versions, either to optimise it, add new features, or align it with their philosophy.

NetAnalysis® v3 checks for Zone.Identifier Alternate Data Streams when processing files. When a file is downloaded, a Zone.Identifier ADS is created and can contain the source URL of the download. The Information panel will show the various metadata properties for the download.
