The following information relates to all versions of NetAnalysis from v1.50.  If you run NetAnalysis and try to import browser data, you may receive the following error message:

Figure 1

This error occurs when another software package installer has incorrectly installed the Microsoft Data Access Objects (DAO) 3.6 Object Library (DAO360.dll).  If NetAnalysis had previously worked on your system and is now displaying the above error, can you please establish which software packages have been installed which may have caused this issue.  The unidentified installer is installing Microsoft DAO components on operating systems which already have them installed by default, and are also installing them in the incorrect location for a 64bit OS.  We would appreciate if you could provide us with any information which could help us identify this software.

Check for DAO 3.6 Files

If this occurs, please check for the existence of the following library files:

DAO 3.6 Library on 32 bit Windows
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll
DAO 3.6 Library on 64 bit Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll

If the files do not exist in either location, please contact support.  If they do exist, then please carry out the following as the files have been unregistered from their correct location.

How to Resolve the Issue

To resolve this issue, you will need to manually register the DAO library.  This can be done by select Start >> Run and pasting the data below, depending on which Operating System you are working with.

Register the DAO 3.6 Library on a 32 bit OS
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll"
Register the DAO 3.6 Library on a 64 bit OS
c:\windows\SySWOW64\regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll"

If the command successfully registers the library, you should see the following message:
