Introduction

Microsoft Edge is the minimalist new browser in Windows 10; it has a built-in reading list The Reading List is a feature in Microsoft Edge where the user can save articles to read later. In addition, it features a reading view Reading View that strips out adverts and page clutter, making it much easier to read articles on different platforms.

Adding an Item to the Reading List

To add an item to the reading listIt also has an option for capturing a web page and making annotations directly to the page. To change between the standard website view mode and the Reading View mode, the user clicks on the star icon » then selects the reading list icon (highlighted in blue in the image below) » then selects Addthe Image Added button to the right of the Web address.

Reading View Layout

For the clean reading view layout, the user clicks the Image Removed button when viewing a supported page. The page will change from the normal layout, to the clean reading view layout as can be seen below.

Page Annotations

Another impressive feature of Edge is the ability to annotate web pages. With the annotation tool, you can now highlight text, use the pen tool for drawing, type text notes, save clips and share your notes as images.
